What can we do to get the 'quality' message across more effectively to managers and other colleagues?
"The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place" -- George Bernard Shaw

One of the major barriers experienced by those responsible for promoting quality or excellence approaches within organisations seems to be the other people. "Why don't they get it?". If only they'd see". "I've explained it over and over but they still...".

However this is clearly not an insurmountable barrier, since many organisations are making steady progress in their continual improvement programmes. As we all know, that can only happen with the understanding and cooperation of our colleagues.

So maybe the particular people issues that you are facing have already been encountered and solved by others.

It's with this thought in mind that we will get together on 3 October for a high-energy session that will be full, frank and - above all - of practical use.

We will use the powerful approach known as Open Space to enable information sharing and learning.

You will be able to ensure that your specific issues are on the agenda. There will be no presentations but about 15% of the participants will be experts in effective communications who have agreed to take part to support your discussions.

The event is suitable not only for quality/excellence practitioners but also for anybody in your organisation with a real interest in getting people involved in continual improvement. Bring your colleagues!

A complete set of proceedings will be produced and will be made available on the day following the event.
