Getting real business benefit from ISO 9000:2000

Description

Several of these Workshops will be held this year. Each, with the cooperation of The British Standards Institution, deals with the year 2000 revision of ISO 9000.

Some organisations are approaching ISO 9000:2000 as a chore and are concentrating on the details of the changes and exactly what needs be done to ensure re-certification with minimum effort.

But this Workshop takes a different view! We will look at how the new standard can be used to revitalise quality in the organisation. We will see how we can get the positive attention - and action - of those departments, colleagues (and managers) who may have been reticent before now about the value of the quality management system.

We will discover how the new structure and business process emphasis of the :2000 revision can unlock those benefits that ISO 9000 has always promised, but has not always delivered.

And the presence of John Hele (BSI's ISO 9000 Product Manager) will ensure whatever innovations we discuss are within the letter, as well as the new spirit, of the Standard.

This Workshop is suitable for quality professionals and for others in the organisation with a real interest in quality improvement. It will be particularly valuable for senior managers, who will be required by the new standard to be more closely involved than before.

NOTE!! We are now able to offer this Workshop in-house. This enables management teams to focus on developing a specific action plan for businesss-orientated implementation of the new standards - while BSI's participation ensures ISO 9001's requirements are kept in mind. The value of these in-house events cannot be over-estimated!

NOTE!! The Workshop will include up to date news on the ISO 90000:2000 qualification being offered by ISTO (the International Standardized Testing Organization).
